About your magician
Award Winning Magician and Balloonist Ed Schmitt was born and raised in the Delaware Valley Pennsylvania area. Ed’s journey into the study of magic began when the grandfather of a fifth-grade classmate performed a magic show for their class. He started reading and practicing whatever magic he could get his hands on and to the is day still reads, learns and attends magic lectures to improve his magic skills. At the age of 12, he performed his first shows at family get-togethers and neighborhood backyard carnivals. Around the age of 15, he started performing professionally at birthday parties and Blue and Gold Cub Scout Banquets. Ed has been active for over 30 years in the Society of American Magicians (SAM), International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) and Magicians’ Alliance of Eastern States (MAES). He has served as president for both IBM and MAES. Ed has received many awards throughout the years. To name a few, he was recognized as Stage Magician of The Year by both IBM and SAM, Mentalist of the Year by MAES and Best of Philly for Children’s Magic two years in a row by SAM. Ed specializes in children’s, family and adult themed magic shows. His high energy shows amaze, amuse and mystify audiences wherever he performs.

#9. Your show was definitely the highlight of our Blue + Gold banquet! The parents loved it as much as the kids. I personally was tickled with the “bandana trick”. Thanks so much, I really appreciate your professionalism and conscientiousness too. You made my job easy, as coordinator of the entertainment. You also made our not-so-slightly stage look great with your backdrops and stage props. Your show was truly enjoyed by everyone! See you next year.
